We just got our kitchen counters redone. I sweated major bullets over the choice, worrying up to the last minute that I had made the wrong "color"/pattern choice, but I think it looks great.
I'm knitting two different pairs of socks in lilac colored yarn; I'm not sure why I've been on a purple jag all spring, but I think I'm done with this color for a while. One pair is from Knitspot and the other pair is the May "mystery sock" from the Socks Anonymous Group on Ravelry -- pattern by Yarnissima!
May will be busy with some traveling, jury duty, spring cleaning at the cabin, and cleaning up here after the kitchen contractors: who knew that the job would affect the whole house, sigh.

I think you made a great choice! It looks like your cabinets are natural cherry??? It's so nice and clean looking.
