There are so many reasons why we all knit. It has absolutely nothing to do with "saving money" , as that doesn't hold up either in these days of acrylic and factory-made things.
But sometimes, we knit (or want to knit) for the sheer beauty and tug-at-your-heartstrings pull of a project:

It made me think of the Christmas treasures we hopefully will be unpacking within a month or so -- treasures that always make you think you are "home", no matter where you really are. I hope she releases her pattern soon!
