Beautiful tools

I adore looking (and owning, when possible) at beautifully made tools for hand work. That's one of the reasons why I've had a subscription to Piecework magazine for years -- there is always some "tool" feature in each issue.

I have not been interested in spinning, mostly because I just don't think my stash space and the rest of my life can accept rovings and a spinning wheel. But I wouldn't mind learning how to use a drop spindle.

So ... check out July 19th's blog post from lacefreak - these are some of the most beautifully crafted items I've ever seen IN MY LIFE.

Be prepared to drool over your monitor!

And I haven't done any mitten work for a week now ... sigh.

I was looking at those spindles earlier and thinking longingly about when I used to spindle spin. Must.retire.soon so I can pick up my craft hobbies again.

Oh those are LOVELY! I would like to just have one to display, not necessarily to use! (I wouldn't know what to do with one!)
